Some Bridal Styles brides travel to sunny shores for their wedding day!

Cheri said ‘I do’ at the Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana and paired her gorgeous Pnina Tornai gown with a custom headpiece, French net veil, earrings, necklace and bracelet from Bridal Styles!

From Cherie:

“I can’t begin to thank you for all of the jewelry for my wedding. From the headpiece to the earrings, necklace and gorgeous bracelet. I felt like a million dollars when I put them on. I received so many compliments on them. They were all truly STUNNING. Thank you for time, patience and attentiveness. I showed Pnina a picture from the wedding and she even commented on the jewelry. You made me feel like a princess. I will not let my friends buy any jewelry before coming to you first! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU – so much!”

Best wishes, Cherie! We’re thrilled to hear how much you loved your accessories and experience at Bridal Styles. Stunning does not even begin to describe your pictures! Thanks so much for sharing your day with us.

Coming Up Roses {Inspiration}

Tuesday, October 9th, 2012

Few things rival the rose when it comes to romance, and for weddings they’re a perfect fit. Though gorgeous in bouquets, these timeless blooms can be incorporated into almost every wedding day detail, down to your own bridal look!

Brides-to-be with modern style, think rich, unmistakably rosy hues with elements that pop, like an elegant rose graphic that reveals itself within your invitation, wedding cake and bouquet. As for your gown, choose something sleek and sophisticated, abloom with rosy lace, and finish it off with a gorgeous Swarovski crystal-encrusted rose necklace and elegant bracelet.

For girls with a flair for vintage glam, think English rose garden plus a little bling. An opulent rose petal design to walk down the aisle, rich family-style seating strewn with lush blooms. Echo that same dreamy-yet-show-stopping aesthetic with a gauzy layered gown with a touch of sparkle along with an exquisite crystal-encrusted rose hair comb and delicate rose earrings.

Yana and Igor’s Gorgeous Rivera Maya Destination Wedding

Monday, June 4th, 2012

Yana and Igor have their older brothers to thank for bringing them together:

“Our brothers are good friends, so being two younger siblings we would always tag along with them. We met for the first time when we were 16 and 17 at a New Year’s celebration in the Poconos (with our brothers, of course), but it wasn’t until a few years later that we started to date.“

Right away, Yana knew Igor was someone special, and although Igor felt the same way, he wasn’t quite there…lucky for him, Yana was happy to wait!

“He tried to play hard to get and didn’t want to date me for a while. But I knew right there and then I had to have him – that he was different then anyone else I ever met. After a long wait I finally had him and knew that he was not going anywhere!”

When it came to proposing to Yana, on June 17, 2010, Igor did so in very romantic and spectacular style…with a little help from his older brother!

“Igor told me that he needed to go to Vegas for business with his brother and asked if I would like to come along with his brother’s wife. Since I’ve never been to Vegas, I thought it was a great idea. So, the whole flight they talked about business and how they needed to be away from us for a day and that we would have to just hang out alone. Wellllllll….we arrive in Vegas at 11pm and right away they tell me to get dressed – we’re going to party. With a little fight I said fine… even though I was exhausted. Next, they asked where I wanted to go. I said I didn’t care, but that I’d go to the Eiffel Tower or the Venetian on a gondola ride. In the end, I decided on the Eiffel Tower since I’ve never been to Paris but have been to Venice. Once there, we went to the top, walked around and watched the amazing views of Vegas and the Bellagio fountains light show. That’s when Igor turns to me and asks, “What if I told you there was no business trip, no investors, and that I brought you here (now he’s down on his knees) to ask you if you will marry me!!!!!” Of course I was in total shock and of course I said yes! Everyone was clapping and screaming, and after that the celebration began!”

Back home, Igor and Yana began planning their March destination wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Since Yana knew exactly what she wanted, despite the distance, getting all the details together was a breeze!

“I knew what I’ve always wanted and that was a destination wedding, as soon as we came back from our Vegas trip I started to research resorts and we chose Barcelo Maya Palace resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. We had our ceremony on the beach where our Rabbi, Michael Kruk (from Florida and who we flew in) married us. Then, for our cocktail hour, we proceeded to the resort’s rooftop area which overlooked the beautiful ocean while a Mariachi band played… which was a blast – our guests loved it! Our reception took place near the beach in a gorgeous beach cabana, and our DJs ( Ari and David who we also flew in) made sure we danced all night!”

For her Riviera Maya wedding, Yana knew she wanted her gown to be different and as exceptional as her venue.

“I’ve always wanted something special… something flattering and unique. So, I went with a Demetrios gown and it was so perfect!! I love pink, so I chose pink dresses for my girls and baby blue for my matron of honor because my color combo was pink and blue to represent the ocean, where I would marry my best friend!”

One-of-a-kind wedding gown chosen, Yana began her search for the accessories she’d imagined.

“When I started looking at headpieces, everything was awful and overpriced. I decided to go to Bridal Styles since a friend and my sister-in-law both got their pieces there. Once there, I tried on two things and right away knew that I wanted my piece. I had seen the jewelry  on the website and fell in love when I saw it in person! I had to have it, so there it was…the full package in less than 20 minutes!”

Before Igor and Yana knew it, March 30 had arrived, and it was all they had imagined…and more.

“Our wedding day was very intimate and personal. I had always wanted something small, where my family and close friends would be there and that’s what we got! 70 people that mean the world to me were there, and that’s all I ever wanted! The day was PERFECT for Igor and I, which is all that mattered to us. We started the day off with getting ready, then took off for a few hours with Ed (our photographer Zorz Studio from NYC) who took the most amazing pictures of JUST us (which was very important to us). From there, the day just got better and better…from the amazing chuppah overlooking the ocean to the reception where our closest family and friends danced their butts off, everything was perfect…we never wanted it to end, and we danced till 2am!”

Back from their wonderful celebration getaway, these happy newlyweds have the following advice for other couples planning their weddings:

“Every bride should not stress and always remember that this is about you and your mate! Never question your thoughts and ideas – do what you want and never look back! Remember, this is just one day of your life that will fly by so fast, so make sure it’s about you two and not the 300 people that will be at your wedding. This is why we chose to make it small and intimate where we actually got to enjoy every minute of it and never wanted it to end!”

Lisa and Michael’s Elegant, Regal Fall Wedding

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

Serendipity struck for Lisa and Michael over lunch one May day!

“I went to a restaurant called Marina Cafe located on Staten Island on May 21, 2009 and ran into someone I knew from college who introduced me to Michael. We hit it off right away.”

Lisa and Michael

After such a delightful first meeting, Lisa and Michael both knew they wanted to spend more time together…and soon discovered they were meant for one another.

“When we went on our first date to Cebu restaurant in Brooklyn we both felt an instant connection. We felt so comfortable with each other. Our relationship grew more and more as time went by. I felt something special inside and I knew deep down inside he was the one.”

That introduction so many months ago wasn’t the only wonderful mealtime surprise in store for Lisa – Michael had one more in store.

“Michael took me to a restaurant named Dylan Prime located in Tribeca, NYC. We were having such a great time and as we were having dessert he popped the question. This was such a shock but a beautiful surprise because I didn’t expect it. This is a moment that i will never forget. We were both in tears because we were both so happy. We couldn’t wait to share the news with our family and friends.”

Happily engaged, with the help of their parents, Lisa and Michael began planning the wedding of their dreams by choosing their venue.

“Michael and I decided that the month of October would be a beautiful time of year to have our wedding because of all the beautiful fall colors and scenery. We started to look at the different venues. After a few weeks, we selected Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, NJ. The minute we stepped into the hall we knew it was the place for our beautiful and elegant wedding. From the grand ballroom with its floor to ceiling windows and beautiful view to the gorgeous grounds it was perfect. It was everything we wanted.”

Next, the two began setting the scene for their romantic, sophisticated wedding celebration:

“We knew we wanted the wedding to have an elegant look, so we chose to have tall trumpet vases topped with all ivory roses, hydrangeas, and calla lilies. There were crystal strands hanging from each vase along with candles all around the tables that were covered in a diamond wrap which gave it a romantic feel.”

With everything in place, Lisa dove into the best part of the planning process – choosing her own wedding look, starting with the dress.

“Every girl dreams of this special day in her life when she walks down the aisle. The gown that I chose was designed by Amalia Carrara. It was sophisticated, eminently beautiful and exactly how I envisioned myself to look. The style I chose was a ball gown with a strapless, sweetheart neckline and long train. The gown was embellished with Swarovski crystals and lace along with a scalloped hem and I paired it with a cathedral veil that looked perfect with my gown.”

Spectacular wedding gown chosen, Lisa was ready for the icing on the cake – her accessories!

“I selected my headpiece and jewelry at Bridal Styles Boutique in Brooklyn. Embedded with Swarovski crystals, my custom-made headpiece was breathtaking. My necklace, bracelet, and earrings matched with the headpiece’s design…Everything looked stunning.“

Finally, October 29 arrived, and like the day they met, there was a surprise in store.

“The morning of the wedding it started to flurry. As the day went on we had a snowstorm. Even though it snowed everything was perfect and everyone came and had a great time. Everything was covered in white but it looked lovely! Officiated by Father Richard Guastella, our ceremony took place at the Church of St. Clare on Staten Island. The church looked absolutely beautiful decorated with all the flowers. The organist and violinist played beautiful music, giving our ceremony such a special touch.

We will never forget exchanging vows on the altar with each other. Both of us shed tears of happiness and were so excited to be husband and wife.”

Following their ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests headed to Westmount Country Club  to celebrate!

“Our Wedding day was a day that we will always remember. Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. It was everything I hoped it would be.”

After such a magical day, Lisa and Michael have this advice for other soon-to-be weds planning their weddings:

“This is a day that you will always remember so plan it the way you envisioned it to be. Enjoy every moment because it is over before you know it. “
