Enchanted Bridal Editorial Shoot with Design House Decor

Tuesday, April 11th, 2017

Imagine the kind of wedding Cinderella would have had if she were a modern, city-dwelling woman. There’d be tons of flowers, breathtaking décor, a fabulous dance floor, lots of romance, and certainly a hint of magic. In short, it would look exactly like the stunning Design House Décor shoot below!

Together with a bevy of fantastic wedding vendors (scroll down for that list), DHD waved their golden wand and transformed the ballroom at the Garden City Hotel into an enchanted place. Of course, no royal wedding is complete without a beautiful bride, so DHD invited Karen Sabag Bridal and Bridal Reflections NY to supply divine wedding gowns and we contributed some of our most spectacular Swarovski crystal-encrusted headpieces and jewelry.

Forehead Headband Bridal Hairstyle Ideas

Thursday, October 13th, 2016

Whether they’ve spotted them on our Instagram feed or on red carpet fashionistas, many brides-to-be are in love with forehead headbands. If you think this exotic, sparkly headpiece seems like the sort of accessory that needs to be paired with an equally dramatic look, you’re right. They’re a natural fit for a statement-making wedding day ensemble and hair that doesn’t quit!

Though often seen with long, boho-glam locks, that’s not the only way to wear pretty bridal hair circlets. Women with short hair totally rock forehead headbands, as do those who prefer their hair up. As with all things bridal, expressing your own personal aesthetic is the secret to creating unforgettable wedding day style.

Feeling a bun, chignon, low twist, or short ringlets? Check out the first few shots of our brides below for some real-life examples of headbands paired with upswept tresses. On the other hand, a down-do or half-up/half-down is just as breathtaking. If channeling your inner bohemian princess feels right, scroll down for some hairstyle cues from more of our beautiful brides!

Lace Wedding + Bridal Style Ideas

Monday, April 18th, 2016

Elegant and luxurious, lace is a fabric associated with royalty. It also offers a feminine, dramatic element to wedding gowns (which is why it’s so popular with our brides) and rich inspiration for wedding day décor. Due to its many different patterns and textures, this centuries-old textile can be used to create anything from a regal to boho-chic affair.

For a wedding day that says modern princess, use lace to accent tables, escort cards, invitations and place settings. Evoke the fabric’s delicacy in a graceful white cascade bridal bouquet, and with heels whose detail mimics that of lace applique. Finish off your look with a Swarovski-crystal crown that echoes the lace of your gown, chandelier earrings fit for a queen, and, of course, a lace-edged statement cathedral veil.

If you are a free-spirited bride-to-be, express your style through a more whimsical approach to lace’s loveliness. Interpret its ladylike charm though romantic elements such as a pretty lace-tied bouquet, pale pink shoes, a gossamer gown and a stunning crystal-encrusted filigree hair comb. In a nod to the fabric’s traditional side, slip on pearl drop earrings and a lace-scattered cathedral veil, and adorn your wedding cake with lace applique.

Regal Real Brides Rocking Crowns

Thursday, October 29th, 2015

Every modern princess knows that no regal wedding day look is complete without a crown. The trick is choosing the perfect piece. Of course, there should be lots (and lots) of Swarovski crystal sparkle, but what about style? A classic tiered tiara is fabulous with a voluminous updo, but so is a bejeweled statement headpiece and a delicate crystal spray coronet. Really, it’s about rocking whichever bridal crown makes you feel your most regal self, as evidenced by our gorgeous Bridal Styles brides below!

Understated Blush Bridal Style Ideas

Wednesday, August 19th, 2015

One of the sweetest and most romantic hues, blush is a natural for almost any wedding day look. While ballet pink from head to toe (including a custom-colored veil) is absolutely charming, we know that’s not for every bride-to-be. For those of you who adore the shade but don’t want to go all-out, choose bridal accessories with a pop of pink and weave that same hue throughout your day.

Envisioning a little more pink? Adorn your updo with a Swarovski flower headpiece whose petals are edged in blush, pair with pale pink crystal jewelry and choose a pair of divine blush heels. Then amp up the rosy glow throughout your reception decor with lighting, flowers, and delicious details.
