Red Spells Romance

Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

Since antiquity, when Roman brides wore crimson veiling called flammeum to symbolize love and fertility, red has been associated with amore. It’s even a favorite of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love – her symbol is the red rose.

Spring 2012 Bridal Trends

Tuesday, November 8th, 2011

Two times a year, couture bridal gown and accessory designers gather in New York for the wedding version of Fashion Week. New York Bridal Market is always an event we look forward to, and Spring 2012 Market was worth the anticipation! We’re very excited to pair the Bridal Styles 2012 collection with all of these stunning gowns.

Overall, we noticed a few trends everywhere we looked. Expect the following bridal design elements to appear soon walking down an aisle near you!

Layered Skirts:

Soft and romantic, skirts with layers had everyone sighing.

Red Carpet Trend: Hair Jewelry

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

Stylish stars are wearing everything from gorgeous crystal pieces and diamond brooches to pearl and gemstone combs on the red carpet. Most recently at the Met Ball, there was so much sparkle adorning updos, demi styles and loose hair that we wondered whether hair jewelry was a dress code requirement! Then, after seeing Vera Wang and Jessica Alba’s diamond headpieces, we thought maybe Kate Middelton’s tiara had something to do with it.
